The new ePDR system enhances flexibility by incorporating features such as flexible overall ratings, adjustable review cycle steps with customizable start and end dates, embedded objective setting, PIP process, calibration process, and an expanded dashboard. These improvements provide users with increased adaptability and convenience within the system. A pilot run of this new system is planned for VPABO, ISO, and HRO.

Along with this convenient new feature, you'll also experience an enhanced user interface, making your app interactions smoother and more intuitive.​

The new ePayment POS system enables departments or service owners to accept e-payments from customers using Octopus, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and FPS at the counter.

The objective of the digitization project is to scan and index all physical P-files into SharePoint and ECM, conduct various types of checks (e.g. random document checking, cross-checking against the system), complete disposal procedures, and ultimately make the room available for other purposes.

Extra Load Application and Payment System go-live and the followings are achieved:

Streamline CPEP Extra Load Application input by program office or faculty with the approval process.

Integrate with HRMS payroll solution for payment.

FMS, HRMS, FPAS, Leave, e-Procurement, Expense (non-travel) systems have been successfully made availabe for the subsidary HKGAI.

A web-based modernized platform "Student Portal" has been launched that provides HKUST students with an additional channel to access important information about their academic journey. It is easy to navigate and provides an easy access to information such as academic progress, financial updates and event schedules.

A unified platform for event management has been launched officially by the Information Systems Office (ISO) department at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). This platform, introduced in January 2024, aims to provide self-services to event organizers and streamline their processes in event registration and payment. A workshop with more than a hundred participants was completed on February 5. Thanks for the valuable feedback from the event organizers. We will continue to enhance this platform.

To enhance the smart campus experience for students, hall residents can now use their mobile phones to make online payments for hall washing machines, dryer machines, and air-conditioning charges on the iOS and Android platforms.

The mobile app also supports inquiries about their electricity usage. Therefore, students can be more cautious about the electricity they have used, thereby achieving the target of saving more energy.
